News. Under the agreement between the OAO “Soligorskaya Poultry Plant” and the Institute of Genetics and Cytology, a panel of informative microsatellite markers that allows the monitoring of quail lines (Coturnix coturnix) used in quail breeding in the Republic of Belarus, assessing differentiation and identifying quail lines, calculating the inbreeding coefficient, which is important for breeding and the conservation of genetic diversity, has been developed. This can contribute to a more efficient management of genetic resources and better productivity of poultry farming.
