Main directions of activity:

  • Search for molecular genetic markers to assess economically valuable traits and identify mutations that cause hereditary diseases in farm animals;
  • Study of the genetic diversity of agricultural and wild animals based on molecular methods and bioinformatics analysis;
  • Study of the genetic causes of cardiovascular hereditary diseases (cardiomyopathy, channelopathies and a thoracic aorta aneurysm);
  • Advancement of biotechnology for artifi­cial reproduction, feeding and DNA-identi­fication of various hydrobiont species in natural biotopes and aquaculture.
