The Republican DNA Bank has the status of the National Heritage (the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of August 13, 2016, No. 629)

DNA Bank includes the following thematic sections:

  • DNA Bank of a Human
  • DNA Bank of Animals
  • DNA Bank of Plants
  • DNA Bank of Microorganisms.

Main targets of the DNA Bank activity:

  • Long-term storage and efficient use of DNA sample collections and human, animal, plant and microorganism biological material;
  • Compilation, storage and systematization of information on genetic material collections;
