The execution of qualification scientific work (dissertation) for the scientific PhD and doctoral degrees, a dissertation abstract submitted for academic degrees, as well as publications on the topic of the dissertation in the scientific editions of the Republic of Belarus must comply with requirements.

A LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED BY AN ACADEMIC DEGREE CANDIDATE TO THE DISSERTATION COUNCIL

  1. A candidate’s application indicating the title of the dissertation, the specialty and branch of science related to its submission (for D.Sc. candidates – in 2 copies; or the original and its copy);
  2. A personal data sheet with a photograph certified at the place of work (for D.Sc. candidates – in 2 copies; or the original and its copy);
  3. Copies of a document confirming higher education, a researcher’s diploma (if any); and for D.Sc. candidates – a Candidate of Sciences Diploma (for D.Sc. candidates – in 2 copies; or the original and its copy) certified by a notary or at the place of work;
  4. Original certificates confirming the pass of candidate exams and a test for a candidate with no academic degree;
  5. A dissertation (6 copies of a doctoral dissertation or 5 copies of a PhD dissertation);
  6. Certificates and/or implementation acts, other documents certifying the practical use of dissertation results if any (for D.Sc. candidates – in 2 copies; or the original and its copy);
  7. A dissertation abstract manuscript (not required for a dissertation in the form of a scientific report);
  8. A conclusion of an institution (institutions) of science-oriented education based on preliminary examination results (for D.Sc. candidates – in 2 copies; or the original and its copy);
  9. A dissertation review provided by an academic supervisor or an academic consultant (if any) (for D.Sc. candidates – in 2 copies; or the original and its copy);
  10. The originals (imprints) or photocopies of candidate’s works on a dissertation topic provided in the dissertation, the dissertation abstract or in the dissertation in the form of a scientific report where the main dissertation research results are published, as well as the programmes of scientific congresses, conferences, symposia and other scientific events confirming candidate’s participation in them;
  11. Photocopies of candidate’s passport pages containing his personal data (for documents executed in a foreign language ‒ a translation of a document and/or of the text of the seal certifying this document into one of the official languages ​​of Belarus, provided the accuracy of the translation or the authenticity of the translator’s signature (the one who has made the translation) is certified by a notary);
