The Shareable Core Facilities GENOME was established at the Institute of Genetics and Cytology, NAS of Belarus, to ensure the effective use and servicing of the unique equipment. GENOME constitutes the part of Science & Innovation Department.
GENOME has modern laboratory equipment for conducting a wide range of research in the field of molecular biology. The equipment of the Shareable Core Facilities GENOME is represented by unique high-THROUGHPUT sequencing systems: MiSeq (Illumina Inc., USA); NextSeq 550 (Illumina Inc., USA); iSeq 100 (Illumina Inc., USA); 3500 Genetic Capillary Analyzers (Applied Biosystems, USA/Japan); The QX200 Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) System (Bio-Rad, USA); Amplifiers C-1000 (Bio-Rad, USA); NanoDrop 8000 Spectrophotometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific, USA); TissueLyser II Laboratory Homogenizer (QIAGEN, Germany); Purelab Flex 3 water purification system (Elga, UK); IMS-30 ice maker (Theseus Lab, Czech Republic); a PCR box, a vortex, a shaker, centrifuges and other equipment required for sample preparation (PCR, NGS etc.).
The GENOME personnel provide practical and advising assistance in carrying out research on the equipment both to the scientists of the Institute and external organizations.
