  • Use of DNA-markers in the breeding of barley, soya, and sunflower;
  • Hybrid sunflower breeding on the basis of CMS (cytoplasmic male sterility);
  • Studying the genetic history of the Belarusian population;
  • Genetic control of a number of human diseases (exome sequencing etc.);
  • Whole-genome sequencing of the DNA organelles of barley and soya; studying the nucleus-cytoplasm interaction.
