Key directions of scientific research:

  • Search for molecular genetic markers to assess economically valuable traits and identify mutations that cause hereditary diseases in farm animals;
  • Study of the genetic diversity of agricultural and wild animals based on molecular methods and bioinformatics analysis;
  • Study of genetic causes of hereditary diseases of the cardiovascular system (cardiomyopathy, channelopathy, and aneurysm of the thoracic aorta);
  • Improvement of artificial reproduction biotechnology, feeding and DNA-identification of various types of hydrobionts in natural biotopes and in aquaculture.
